Leave the details to Jackie. Deep in the weeds, Jackie reads every process, every manual and even every page of the Income Tax Act. But before finding the financial service industry, she was in fashion design – measuring twice, cutting once.

When Jackie’s not reading, she’s putting letters behind her name – starting with the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Accounting from Vancouver Island University. After becoming a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA), Jackie pursued the intensive 3-year In-Depth Tax Program to specialize in Income Tax. Decoding the alphabet soup continued after she completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation – the hat she wears most often at Trademark Wealth when helping our clients with retirement projections.

At Trademark Wealth, Jackie was promised an end to Tax Season – one which many Accountants work 80-hours per week through. But, little did she know, we celebrate “where is my tax slip season”, which is nearly as busy and begins a month sooner. She also takes the lead on tax planning for our clients ranging from withdrawal strategies from registered accounts to tax-loss selling.

If she’s not in the weeds at work, you can find her outside in the backyard picking them with Ron and their two little ones – Hudson & Brooklyn. When her green thumbs aren’t dirty, they are actively creating a Pinterest board for every room in the house. Ron’s honey-do-list is even organized with a FIFO system – First In, First Out.
